The 2016 Ambassador’s of Hope Dinner & Auction was a great success with the largest attendance to date and the most funds raised in one night in OFC’s history! To all who attended, we cannot thank you enough. Emmitt Smith’s message was powerful and his generosity abundant. Most everyone knows about Emmitt the football star, but we learned about Emmitt Smith, the man of God.
The other “Star of the evening” was one of our precious campers who was interviewed by Calvin Bogart. When asked what he liked about camp, the camper answered, swimming, meal time, spending time with his counselor and other campers, and he even remarked about a camp photographer who also served in the drama. This camper seemed to appreciate the dual roles served by that particular volunteer. All in all, he loves camp and he is looking forward to going in 2016!
